when i saw stella jean’s 2014 spring collection,
a vivid, dizzying affair of eye candy,
i was amazed. the more i saw, the more i wanted to see.
i discovered that every piece reflects her global cultural background,
–born of an a haitian mother and italian father, she grew up in rome–
her fabrics are woven in Burkina Faso by local artisans
in coordination with the Ethical Fashion initiative, then
wax-printed with her motifs in Java, and produced in the Nederlands.
refreshing!!
